How long does it take?
You get a preview by email within 3 business days of ordering. Once you approve it, printing and finishing usually takes another 3 to 5 business days, depending on size and how many colours the palette uses.
What happens at the approval step?
I prepare the crop and the layered colour separation from your photo and email you an image of exactly what will be printed. Nothing goes on the printer until you reply and say yes. You can ask for a different crop, a different palette or a different size at that point at no charge.
What file types should I send?
JPG, PNG, HEIC or WEBP, up to 25 MB per file and up to three files. Send the original file straight from your camera roll. Screenshots, photos of a screen and images pulled from social media are already compressed and lose the detail the print needs.
Do you ship, or can I pick up?
Local pickup in Toronto is free and arranged by email once your print is ready. I also ship anywhere in Canada; shipping is quoted when your preview is approved so it matches the finished size and weight.
What if I don't like the preview?
Tell me what's off and I'll redo it. If we still can't get something you're happy with, the order is cancelled with nothing owed — no payment is taken until after you approve a preview.
Will it look like my photo?
It will read as a poster or screen print of your photo. Each palette uses two to four filament colours, so tones come from thin layering rather than continuous shading, and very fine detail such as single hair strands or thin lettering will not survive the layer bands.
